Hi, I've scrolled back quite a bit and scoured reddit and a few other places. So I thought I'd drop this question here. I have netmaker setup, it's working, it's awesome.. My setup is Ingress Server on Digital Ocean (public IP let's call it 2.2.2.2) Egress server on my home lan with access to the local nat network and internet (lan 192.168.1.0/24 public 4.4.4.4) My question is this. When i connect to the Ingress node using the Wireguard client everything works, I have access to my home lan (192.168.1.0) and Internet access and my DNS is working via nextdns When connected to the VPN when I do a WhatsMyIP search, my public IP is showing as 2.2.2.2 is it possible to have my public ip show as 4.4.4.4 (the public IP from home) I travel to Canada, US and SE Asia quite a bit, I'd like to be able to connect to a local ingress node and present myself at home I'll be upfront, this is for access to things like BBC Iplayer (I have a TV licence and am a UK Resident) If anyone could advise it would be really helpful.. thanks in Advance

theres probably many solutions to this, but if you have a linux ssh server at home you can make a socks proxy with putty or kitty and then connect your browser to the socks proxy. when you browse the internet it will show your home ip.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --proxy-server="socks5://127.0.0.1:3456" --proxy-bypass-list=

Possibly, be interested if there was a routing based solution. However it's all Linux at home, so will give it a go
o
was thinking routing will be difficult since websites can change ip
note that you have to close your chrome brower before you use the command, or you can use a socks proxy addon

I will give that a go And report back

Kinda works, very clunky, I'm going to keep diving into this as from everything I read, the inference is with the Nat turned off on the Egress node the external IP of the egress node whould be the one used not the external IP of the ingress node. There must be something on NFT or IPtables which can make this a thing.
o
if you find something better im interested too 👍
you can also open chrome with --user-data-dir="%LOCALAPPDATA%\blablabla\User Data" to use another user profile with the proxy that way you can have as many different proxy open at the same time you want

Looking at methods of possibly using iptables for forwarding traffic from the netmaker node out of the proxy in a more "transparent" mode.
