Hi, since I installed the netclient on ubuntu val I keep getting the following error message in syslog : netclient mqhandler.go-258 UpdatePeers(): network Vpn error updating /etc/hosts file is locked … aborting. Any ideas about what my cause this issue ?

yes, netclient must have crashed (or power failure) while is was writing to /etc/hosts and the lock file was not deleted

yes, netclient died (crash or power failure or something) while it was writing to /etc/hosts  and the lock file wasn't deleted

you can manually delete the file  ... it will be /tmp/netclient-lock
