How to set Node-name displayed in Netmaker-UI?
NODE_ID is not being used?
Based on the architecture i know the netmaker-server includes a netclient.. But based on the troubleshooting, this netclient is very different from one installed standalone that it cannot be used for routing? And all server-nodes are displayed as netmaker-[0-9] ? So i have to install an additional netclient on the same host for routing and proper naming?

you can do that, but you can change the name manually in the node settings of a netmaker node as well. It by default just says netmaker-(1-n) n being the number of servers deployed, but you're welcome to change to another valid node name.
NODE_ID is moreso for HA/database differentiation between server nodes

Thanks.. but kinda sounds like Node_Id should be used by default.. netmaker-(1-n) is just strange

that could be possible in the future, but we'd have to only accept certain characters for NODE_ID then. But yeah maybe we can change in future
also currently, you can view the set NODE_IDs in the node
macaddress
field, if needed
