ok just for clarity- do we need to adjust the MTU on the client, server, master node, or all of them? I adjusted down to 1024 on the client that could ping but not connect- this did not seem to work I adjusted client, my own computer and the server down to 1024 and this prevented me from connecting via SMB. So I made the issue worse, but it does seem like this is the cause- so we are on the right track
