soooo yeah, I once "turned off the humidity alarm"..... came back after the weekened to every thermal alarm in the server room going off. We had just migrated everything to a new building, and by turning off the humidity alarm, I uhhh.... completely deactivated the HVAC system.... Room temp was 95 Fahrenheit. Another 5 hours and it probably would have melted.
