depends on where you're at.... Texas is a wee bit ginormous. I never go down to Mexico longitudes, because despite the fact that a wall does actually exist (and has since long before Trump came around shouting about it), shit has gotten real bad down near the border. The hill country is usually much nicer overall (like west of Austin), then the panhandle up near amarillo you can get blizzards, whereas around Houston it might snow once a decade and be 80-95 on any given day of the year. +80% humidity is almost like you're breathing water and makes it feel much hotter than it actually is.... still, it's no Phoenix or Vegas, but it can get a bit deserty out towards El Paso.
