4th server

Hi, I installed netmaker approximately about 3 weeks ago, currently I have 4 server (A,B,C,D) connected to the netmaker, and they works fine communicating with each other, but today I tried to connect a new server (E) to the network, but the server A cannot communicate with the new server, the other 3 servers can communicate with server A and server E the difference is for the server A is that this server is a local server, and the 3 others are on NHN cloud service, the new server E are also in NHN cloud service what might be the problem?
b
Is the new server local or on NHN cloud service. You said both above
n
the new server is on NHN cloud service
edited for clarity
b
if you run
wg show
on servers A and E can you see that they have a handshake negotiated?
n
I think not
b
then there is probably a firewall or NAT problem
n
I have enabled UDP hole punching do you think the problem is on server A?, because server E can communicate with other server except server A
b
if the issue is NAT, the problem is with server A.... if it is a firewall issue it could be either A or E
n
I see, I will try to investigate further based on your answer, thank you~ do you think will it be fixed if I use v18?
b
v18 adds a proxy which handles NAT better, so if the issue is related to NAT v18 maybe a better solution. A new install of v18 works with no issue but the upgrade path from v17 to v18 is still being worked on.. It does work for linux but not other OSes right now. Upgrade the server first (there is a script for upgrading servers) and then upgrade your nodes; the upgraded netclient will read the old v17 data and rejoin existing networks deleting the old v017 node and creating new v18 hosts and nodes.
n
I will also try that, Thank you !
b
It would actually be nice to get some feedback on the upgrade process
n
sure, I will give some feedback later
I have not done anything, but server A got handshake from server E, but still cannot ping
b
if you have a handshake and cannot ping, it is most likely a firewall issue (firewall does not permit ICMP)
n
firewall for ICMP is allowed, no deny, because I can ping it from other server
for more information, my netmaker server is in the same VPC as server B-E in NHN cloud service is there any chance that this is the source of the problem?
b
should not be an issue
n
okay
